Travel Blog: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park (1 hour+ drive from SFO)

After staying for a few days in Carmel, it’s time to go home.  We took Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) on the way from Carmel to SFO. It is probably one of the most beautiful highway we’ve seen. It was a good drive as the scenery was amazing along the California coastline.

Amazing Coastal View at Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway)

Fried fresh artichoke

Fresh Artichokes Are Like Bouquets

Artichoke and Garlic Farms

There were some artichoke and garlic farm along the highway. We stopped for a quick snack of fried artichoke.

Never tried anything like that before. It’s fresh and yummy. Who knows fried vegetables can taste so good.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardway Amusement Park

Anyway, since our flight was at night, so we had the whole day to kill. We stopped by Santa Cruz Beach Boardway to spend the day. 55 Minutes drive from Carmel, 1 hour to SFO Airport.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront amusement park, built in 1907. It is California’s oldest surviving amusement park.

I am surprised that Arcade is still so popular today in 2016.

The ice-cream in summer was so good that I need to order the second one
