Singapore to Auckland (Direct)
Currently (as of Feb 2018), there are the only 2 airlines that fly direct from Singapore to Auckland :
- Singapore Airlines
- Air New Zealand
We travelled to Auckland via Singapore Airlines Suites and Business Class2 years ago which was fantastic. 9/10
We also flew Air New Zealand Business Class to Auckland a few years back. It was cheaper than Singapore Airlines but the seat was also slightly smaller and overall experience just couldn’t compete with Singapore Airlines.
Since we have some Krisflyer miles to use, we took SQ business class to Auckland and use the remaining miles on economy class on the way back.

6. Food and Drinks
Singapore Airlines business class has a very good selection of food and drinks.
2 meals were served onboard Singapore to Auckland flight. Dinner after take-off, and Breakfast before landing.
In between meals, there was snacks and drinks service as well. You’ll never go hungry on Singapore Airlines, let’s put it this way.
We normally pre-book our main course before the flight through BOOK-THE-COOK. It has a wide selection of meals including creations inspired by Singapore Airlines International Culinary Panel Chefs and can be ordered up to 24 hours before the flight.
We requested for an anniversary cake few weeks before the flight to celebrate our wedding anniversary onboard. The crew presented the cake with a pair of cute teddy bears with a nice card. It was a very kind gesture from the crew and we wrote a nice feedback to Singapore Airlines to compliment the crew!
As of February 2018, Business Class passengers / PPS Club members could enjoy free wifi onboard up to 30 MB only.
How much is 30 MB? Not much! Probably 5-10 minutes on the social media and checking a few emails that’s all.
5/5 rating for Singapore Airlines A380 business class SIN-AKL.
Good service, entertainment system, food and drinks and cabin comfort are all up to high standard.
Still a great way to fly.
